Meet my experts….

To achieve some level of sanity and to breakthrough from the breakdown, I surrounded myself with woman who would be able to help me through the four main areas of my life:

1.    Confidence
2.    Spiritually
3.    Physically
4.    Mentally

These experts are now your friends to help you through your circumstance. Let me introduce:

Jodie Bruce Clarke - Rise International "Bring Back Your Confidence"

From helping corporate women to the women who are in a crisis, Jodie works closely with finding the confidence that has been hidden through fear, pain, trauma, circumstance or from years of losing yourself. Jodie is mother to Lyla 20 months and about to have her second baby, as well as juggling career and business.

For me personally, Jodie helped me find my confidence again. I had lost myself in the circumstance of having difficult births and through post natal depression. Colleen Mieni - Fitness Trainer

Colleen Mieni has been in the Fitness Industry since she was 20.  She currently runs her own PT Studio incorporating Wellness Coaching, Seminars and Personal Training.  She is also a Group Fitness Instructor in her 'spare' time.

She has been addicted to drugs, suffered an eating disorder and had an abusive marriage which lasted 12years.  Colleen was diagnosed with chronic depression at the age of 28, when her only son was just 7 months old.  It took her 10 years to beat this disease and to do so, she needed to change her attitude, her way of thinking and perhaps 'remove' certain things and people out of her life.  Colleen's love of keeping fit helped her mentally and emotionally through those 10 years and helped her regain her life and her freedom to live it!

She is now an extremely happy 40 yr old single mum, is fit and healthy and takes on every day in life with energy, enthusiasm and the determination to 'infect' other people with her love of life in a fitter, healthier and happier way.

Quick Tips from Colleen:

Can I exercise while I am breastfeeding?

Avoid exercises that make your breasts sore or tender, and always try to exercise after feeding your baby. Your breasts won't feel uncomfortably full, and your baby will appreciate it, too. Any distaste of breast milk should pass within 60 mins after the workout. Provided the exercise is not too strenuous. Make sure your wear a supportie bra, as you will find the feeding bras are not supportive enough. Also wear breast pads!

How soon after giving birth can I start to exercise?

You can begin exercising your pelvic floor and lower tummy muscles as soon as you feel ready. Gettng out and about is good for your physical and mental health. Going for regular walks with the baby in the pram is ideal, just don't go overboard! Generally, if you exercised right up until the end of your pregnancy, you can probably safely perform your pregnancy workout or at least light exercise and stretching. Unless you are advised otherwise, it is is a good idea to avoid swimming for the first six weeks to minimise the risk of infection.
